Where art flows like nature and feels like soul
About
Dr. Shagufta Khanam is an abstract artist whose work flows like nature and feels like soul. Deeply inspired by the rhythms of life, her paintings reflect a meditative blend of movement, emotion, and organic harmony. She explores unseen energies through colors and textures that echo the flow of water, the spirit of wind, and the essence of human connection.Shagufta’s love for painting began in childhood and has remained a lifelong passion. With a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) and a Ph.D. in Fine Arts, she has pursued painting with both academic depth and heartfelt dedication. While consistently painting over the years, it was in 2018 that she began developing a professional practice—leading to a period of intense exploration, experimentation, and personal growth. Through these years, she embraced various techniques and mediums, allowing her work to evolve naturally into the emotionally expressive and intuitive style she is now known for.Her journey includes participation in art exhibitions, camps, and workshops, and she has received several awards and recognitions along the way. Each piece she creates today carries within it the spirit of those years of searching, studying, and growing. Her art aims to create an emotional space that is light yet profound—inviting the viewer to pause, feel, and connect. Whether it’s the flow of a brushstroke or the depth of layered hues, her paintings embody the living rhythm that exists beyond shape and sound.“Where art flows like nature and feels like soul.”

“Alongside my professional practice, I run ‘Shagufta Art Hub’ — an initiative dedicated to making art education simple, soulful, and accessible to learners of all ages.”
